Director of Human Resources Henritze Dental Group - 3.0 Roanoke, VA Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $95,000 a year 1 hour ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description The Director of Human Resources is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing human resource strategies that support the organization's overall business objectives. This role oversees all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, organizational development, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. The Director of HR partners with executive leadership to drive a high-performance culture, ensure legal compliance, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment. Key Responsibilities Lead HR strategy aligned with business goals Oversee recruitment, hiring, retention, and workforce planning Develop and implement performance management systems Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and regulations Promote employee engagement and change management initiatives Coach and support leadership development and succession planning Analyze turnover, staffing trends, compensation, and engagement metrics Handle escalated employee concerns, investigations, and conflict resolution Coach managers on performance management and accountability Ensure consistent disciplinary practices Oversee terminations and risk mitigation Maintain HR policies, handbooks, and documentation standards Manage unemployment claims and employment-related audits Manage payroll and benefits administration and vendor relationships Build leadership and management training programs Coordinate compliance training Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (required). 5+ years of experience in Human Resources and senior leadership experience. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Proven ability to lead organizational change and foster a strong company culture. Ability to build trust and foster a positive work environment through servant leadership. Exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Discretion and integrity in handling confidential information. Adaptable and open to feedback. Strong working knowledge of payroll and HRIS platforms. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws. Ability to think strategically and creatively solve problems to include process improvement. Ability to work closely with executive leadership and provide recommendations to improve the employee and patient experience. Human Resources Certification (e.g.
SHRM-CP, PHR
) is a plus.
