Working closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees, the Human Resources Manager ensures that HR policies are applied fairly and consistently, employee issues are addressed promptly, and staffing, training, and compliance needs are met to support production, safety, and workforce stability. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a positive, compliant, and productive workplace across both hourly and salaried populations. This role is highly tactical and hands-on, requiring regular floor presence, strong execution skills, and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Serve as an escalation point for employee concerns and supervisor questions that require advanced HR support, judgment, or confidentiality, beyond the HR Coordinator's scope. Ensure the HR Coordinator is equipped with clear guidance, tools, and priorities to deliver consistent and timely employee support. Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HRIS data in compliance with legal and company requirements. Ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices across departments and shifts in alignment with guidance and direction from the HR Director. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Coordinate and execute full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing roles, skilled trades, and select salaried positions, following recruiting priorities and processes established by the HR Director. Support high-volume hiring needs by managing job postings, screening, interviews, offers, and pre-employment requirements. Partner with supervisors to ensure timely onboarding and orientation for new hires, with emphasis on safety, attendance, quality, and performance expectations. Monitor early-tenure retention and communicate trends, risks, and recommend actions to the HR Director. Employee Relations & Performance Support Provide direct, hands-on support for employee relations matters, including attendance issues, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, investigations, accommodations, and terminations. Consult with and escalate complex or high-risk employee relations matters to the HR Director as appropriate. Guide supervisors through corrective action and documentation to ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance. Address employee concerns promptly and professionally to minimize disruption to operations and morale. Compensation, Benefits & Leave Administration Administer compensation, benefit, and leave programs in accordance with company policy and federal and Washington State regulations, under the direction of the HR Director. Support wage administration activities, including job changes, pay adjustments, and internal equity reviews. Coordinate benefits enrollment, employee questions, and leave tracking in partnership with external vendors, payroll, and the HR Director. Support timekeeping, attendance tracking, and leave administration in a manufacturing environment. Training, Safety & Compliance Support Coordinate required training programs, including safety, compliance, supervisor training, and onboarding-related training. Partner with safety leadership to support training, incident response documentation, and regulatory compliance. Assist with audits, reporting, and documentation related to employment law, safety, and internal policies. Stay informed on employment law requirements and ensure policies and practices are followed at the operational level. HR Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement Utilize HRIS, timekeeping, and applicant tracking systems to ensure accurate data entry, reporting, and workflow management. Track and report key operational HR metrics such as turnover, attendance, time-to-fill, and early tenure attrition to the HR Director. Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements for review and approval by the HR Director. Support the HR Director and leadership team with routine HR reporting and data requests. Attributes & Core Competencies To perform this role successfully at Bellmont Cabinet Co., the individual must demonstrate: Strong execution and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple day-to-day priorities. Practical knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfort working directly on the production floor and addressing real-time employee issues.
