Job Description

Breezy Hill Nursery Inc. We are a well established growing company engaged in Landscape Construction, Landscape Maintenance, Tree Nursery, and Retail Garden Center operations. Based in Salem, WI, we are committed to cultivating a strong team culture and providing exceptional service to our clients and community.
Position Summary:
The HR Manager plays a key role in supporting the company's workforce and organizational goals by overseeing core human resource functions. This position manages the day -to day HR operations, supervises the HR Assistant, and partners with leadership to ensure compliance, employee engagement, and effective HR practices across all divisions of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
. Oversee daily HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. . Supervise and mentor the HR Assistant ensuring timely and accurate support for HR functions. . Partner with department managers to support staffing needs and workforce planning. . Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook in accordance with federal and state regulation. . Manage employee records, benefits administration, and leave tracking. . Support training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and engagement. . Facilitate employee communications and promote a positive workplace culture. . Assist with investigations, disciplinary actions , and conflict resolutions. . Ensure compliance with employment laws and company standards. . Collaborate with Payroll and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and reporting.
Qualifications:
. Proven experience in human resource management or generalist roles. . Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements. . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills . Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. . Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. . Experience in landscaping, construction, or retail environments & familiarity with seasonal workforce dynamics and labor law compliance a plus . Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite . Ability to develop and deliver training programs
