This role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with underground, surface, and plant leadership, as well as bookkeeping, to ensure a compliant, accountable, and well-supported workforce. Join our dynamic organization as a Human Resources Manager, where you will lead and shape our HR strategies to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to drive talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development initiatives that align with our company's goals. As a key member of the leadership team, you will champion best practices in human capital management, ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws while cultivating a positive employee experience. Duties & Experience 5+ years HR experience in coal mining or heavy industrial operations Demonstrated experience in handling payroll execution Working knowledge of QuickBooks (payroll module preferred) Strong understanding of MSHA regulations and mining workforce requirements Strong employee relations and compliance background Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on, field environment
Preferred:
HR certification (SHRM, PHR, SPHR) Experience supporting underground and surface mining teams Experience supporting underground and surface mining teams Compensation & Benefits What We're Looking For A detail-oriented, no-nonsense HR leader who understands mining culture, can manage both people and payroll with precision, and builds trust while maintaining strong compliance standards.
Pay:
$40,460.34 - $64,812.45 per year
