Birmingham, AL Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team and work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer to support key HR functions. This role is heavily focused on full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition, while also providing support in onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional with strong recruiting experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for all open positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers. Develop and maintain recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates across clinical and non-clinical roles. Coordinate and manage job postings across multiple platforms, including company website, job boards, and social media. Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Perform reference checks, background screenings, and pre-employment verifications. Build and maintain talent pipelines to support ongoing and future staffing needs. Partner with department leaders to identify workforce needs and improve time-to-fill metrics. Support recruitment events, career fairs, and community outreach initiatives. HR Operations Conduct new hire orientation and facilitate benefits enrollment for all new employees. Process employee status changes, onboarding documents, and personnel records. Calculate and administer annual fringe benefit allowances. Coordinate health, life, and disability insurance enrollments with third-party administrators. Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure accuracy of employee compensation records. Maintain audits for employee health requirements, compliance training, and time & effort reporting. Assist with provider and clinical staff credentialing. Process terminations and offboarding documentation. Prepare and maintain HR compliance reports, including ACA, EEOC, and other required reporting. Train employees on timekeeping systems and payroll processes. Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations. Participate in staff meetings, training, and HR initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive Human Resources experience Experience recruiting for healthcare, clinical, or multi-site environments preferred. Knowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR compliance. Familiarity with federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ACA, EEOC, etc.). Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple job requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
