Job Description:
Job Purpose The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting administrative tasks and strategic initiatives in areas such as onboarding, recruiting, leave administration, employee relations, engagement, performance management, recruiting, benefits, and training.
Essential Job Functions Responsibilities include:
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; talent acquisition, performance and talent management; engagement and recognition. Manages and facilitates the new hire onboarding process; assists with the employee orientation program. Serves as POC for Worker's Comp and works with compliance on employee incidents Employee Verifications, Garnishments, and other possible payroll actions Maintains HRIS records; enters new hires, promotions, and other personnel changes; pulls data and reports as needed. Manages employee files and documentation. Assists in the administration of leaves of absence including FMLA; manages ADA accommodation process. Documents HR processes, procedures, and workflows; develops and streamlines processes based on best practices. Manages goal-setting process and assists with other aspects of performance management. Develop reports and presentations, as needed. Responds to employment verification requests, unemployment claims and other inquiries. Communicates policy, benefit, and compliance information to team members to ensure understanding; tracks acknowledgements, completion, etc. Manages the employee education assistance program Answers routine questions regarding benefits, pay, and other items related to the employee experience. Resolves issues as they arise with support from internal resources, as needed. May assist with recruiting and interviewing, as needed. Conducts research on current best practices, new regulations, etc., to keep the team up to date. Performs other duties and special projects assigned.

Able to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems. Qualifications Experience with setting up and running HRIS systems Computer skills such as Human Resource systems, Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or related field required 0 to 3 years progressively responsible Human Resources experience HR systems experience and proficiency; Workday preferred Professional certification desired within one year of employment Working conditions This position works in an office environment. This position does not have direct contact with patients. Physical requirements This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time but it also requires the ability to walk around the office in order to get tasks accomplished. Direct reports This position is not a supervisory position.
