Job Description

Overview The Application Specialist II will be responsible for providing user and technical support withapplications, troubleshooting, and problem resolution, including rotational on-call off-hours support.

This position will research new product development and assist with implementation, coordinate dailyduties and relay new information or developments with Applications Supervisor, provide technical leadin application upgrades, new implementations, migrations, and other major/complex changes, and thetesting involved with such activities, work closely with end users and physicians (as required) to ensuresystem solutions meet user needs, expectations, and functionally correct.
Responsibilities:
eClinicalWorks Administrator 1. Primary support contact2. Maintain live and test environments including versions and upgrades3. Stay informed on new release documentation and known issues4. Maintain security access settings for user roles5. Interfaces
  • maintain existing and facilitate project management for new interfaces and changes infunctionality or configuration of existing interfaces6.
Track EPCS subscriptions for renewals and deactivation7. Provide guidance and assistance with registry reporting8. DBA for Log Shipping server, used for ad hoc queries and report developmenta. Monitor daily updatesb. Manually update database when necessary Business Intelligence 1. eClinicalWorks Business Optimizer (eBO) Administrationa. Maintenance and Monitoringb. Maintain Team Content and user role securityc. Maintain documentation from upgradesd. Monitor for reports inadvertently saved in Public Folders (i.e., that should have been saved in user's My Folders)e. Monitor dashboard for status of scheduled reports, notify users of failed reports, re-run if appropriatef. Assist users with finding appropriate reports to meet requirementsg. Develop, or assist development with, custom reports when no canned reports meet the requirementsh. Troubleshoot custom reports developed by other MANA usersi. Assist users with scheduling, maintain list of scheduled report times to prevent overlapj.
Train users in eBO basics:
navigation, report execution, scheduling, report views2. Report Developmenta. Develop custom reports when canned reports do not meet the requirementsb. Maintain familiarity with the eBO Metadata structure for development or support to others' customreportsc. Maintain familiarity with eClinicalWorks MSSQL database for development of queries and reportsoutside the structure available through eBOd. Use applications where appropriate to extend the functionality of report outputse. Primary user for eCW log-shipping server; maintain and troubleshoot as necessary
Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree.
EXPERIENCE GENERAL 5
years related experience and/or training.
EXPERIENCE MANAGEMENT 2
