Position Summary (Basic Function) The Plant Human Resources Generalist serves as the on-site HR business partner for the facility, supporting both plant leadership and employees in achieving operational goals. This role is responsible for executing all Human Resources functions within the plant, including recruiting, employee relations, compliance, timekeeping, and HR program administration. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in supporting workforce stability, ensuring legal compliance, and improving overall plant performance. This position maintains a strong presence on the plant floor, providing real-time support to supervisors and employees, while promoting a safe, productive, and respectful work environment. Success in this role will be measured by:
- Timely staffing of open positions (time-to-fill)
- Accuracy and integrity of timekeeping and payroll processes
- Improvement in attendance and workforce reliability

- Serve as the primary HR resource and business partner to plant leadership
- Maintain a consistent presence on the plant floor
- Coach and hold supervisors accountable for policy and performance enforcement Employee Relations & Workforce Management
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts
- Conduct and document workplace investigations
- Monitor and improve attendance and workforce reliability Recruitment & Staffing
- Lead high-volume recruiting for manufacturing roles
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding
- Develop recruiting pipelines and local outreach efforts Compliance & HR Administration
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and other laws
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and I-9 compliance
- Update and communicate HR policies and handbook as necessary Timekeeping & Payroll Support
- Manage and audit employee timekeeping records
- Resolve discrepancies and support payroll processing
- Support payroll audits and wage compliance Benefits & Leave Administration
- Administer benefits programs
- Manage FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation leave
- Support open enrollment and employee communication Training, Engagement & Development
- Support onboarding and training initiatives
- Assist with performance management
- Coordinate engagement and recognition programs Health & Safety
- Support plant safety programs and OSHA compliance
- Assist with incident investigations General

- Support HR reporting and metrics
- Perform other duties as needed Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceEducation Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Experience Minimum of three (3) years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge & Skills
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish)
- Strong knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA)
- Experience in recruiting and employee relations
- Knowledge of payroll/timekeeping systems
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems Certifications (Preferred) PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Frequent presence on the plant floor
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Exposure to manufacturing conditions such as noise, dust, and temperature variations
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
