Benefits Specialist North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) Harrison, Arkansas | Full-Time | Human Resources Lead the Day-to-Day Integrity of Our Benefits Programs If you have strong Excel skills, experience with benefits administration, and enjoy reconciling data, file feeds, and payroll deductions—this is a role where your work directly impacts both employees and the organization's financial performance. This is not a transactional benefits role. This role is centered on systems, data integrity, and end-to-end accountability. At NARMC, the Benefits Specialist is the operational backbone of our benefits program—owning Paycom configuration, vendor file feeds, premium reconciliation, and data integrity in a complex, healthcare environment where precision matters. Why This Role Stands Out True ownership of benefits within Paycom (not just data entry) Direct impact on financial accuracy and compliance High visibility across HR, payroll, finance, and vendors Opportunity to build, improve, and streamline processes Work in a mission-driven healthcare organization serving your community What You'll Do Benefits Administration & Operations Administer health (self-funded), retirement, and voluntary benefits programs Manage enrollments, life events, and terminations with precision Plan and execute annual open enrollment in partnership with our enrollment vendor Paycom System Ownership Serve as the HR subject matter expert for benefits in Paycom Maintain eligibility rules, configurations, and payroll deductions Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities Data, File Feeds & Financial Reconciliation Own eligibility and enrollment file feeds between Paycom and vendors Reconcile payroll deductions, enrollment data, and vendor invoices Generate and validate self-bill premium reports Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure financial and data accuracy Vendor & Plan Performance Partner with TPAs, carriers, and vendors to resolve issues Monitor trends and support plan performance and cost awareness Compliance & Audit Readiness Support compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and IRS requirements Maintain audit-ready documentation and assist with filings Leave & Employee Support Coordinate benefits during employee leaves with third-party administrators Track premium payments and support disability processes Serve as a trusted, responsive resource for employees and leaders What You Bring 3+ years of benefits administration experience (healthcare or self-funded strongly preferred) Strong working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation) Experience with HRIS platforms (Paycom preferred) Background in data reconciliation, file feeds, or premium billing High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data Analytical mindset with a bias toward problem-solving and process improvement Compensation & Benefits We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support you and your family: Multiple medical plan options (PPO and HDHP) with HSA/FSA options Dental and vision coverage 401(k) with employer match Paid time off, plus Extended Illness Bank (EIB) Employer-paid life insurance with voluntary options Short- and long-term disability coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with 24/7 support Tuition reimbursement and professional development support Wellness resources, including on-site gym and offsite gym discounts Additional voluntary benefits (accident, critical illness, pet insurance, and more) Why NARMC Community-focused healthcare organization serving North Arkansas Collaborative HR team focused on continuous improvement and modernization Opportunity to own critical systems and influence outcomes Your work directly impacts employee experience, compliance, and financial performance Apply Today If you're someone who enjoys working at the intersection of systems, data, and strategy—and wants to own something meaningful—we want to talk to you.
