Full Job Description Position Summary:
The HR Specialist - Recruiting & Operations supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department with a primary focus on full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, and onboarding, while also assisting with core HR and payroll operations. Under the direction of the HR Director, this role is responsible for sourcing and attracting qualified candidates, conducting screenings, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions to align with organizational staffing needs and growth objectives. In addition to recruitment responsibilities, the HR Specialist provides operational HR support, including employee record maintenance, onboarding administration, payroll assistance, compliance tracking, and employee support. This position serves as a liaison between employees, management, and candidates while maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, conducting initial screenings, scheduling interviews, and assisting with hiring decisions Partner with hiring managers and leadership to support staffing needs and recruitment strategies Coordinate onboarding processes, including new hire documentation, orientation scheduling, and HRIS setup Prepare and maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations Support payroll operations, including timecard reviews, employee changes, data entry, and payroll audit assistance Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, onboarding, and payroll matters Track training, certifications, compliance documentation, and onboarding completion requirements Assist with employee engagement initiatives, communication efforts, and HR projects Collaborate with the HR Director and Payroll Specialist to ensure efficient HR and payroll operations Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and company information Support additional HR functions and special projects as assigned by the
HR Director Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in recruiting, HR administration, payroll support, or a related HR role preferred Experience with full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition processes preferred Knowledge of HR practices, payroll procedures, and wage and hour compliance regulations Proficiency with HRIS, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and payroll systems (e.g., iSolved, ADP, Indeed) Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support multiple HR functions simultaneously
