Job Description

We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Accounting/HR Generalist to oversee our financial operations and provide essential HR support. In this role, your primary focus will be maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, and handling core bookkeeping. Secondarily, you will serve as our internal HR point person—managing payroll, employee onboarding, and basic benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities Primary Focus:
Accounting & Bookkeeping (Approx. 80%)
Core Accounting:
Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing clients and processing vendor payments.
Reconciliation & Ledger Maintenance:
Reconcile monthly bank accounts, credit cards, and merchant accounts; maintain the general ledger.
Financial Reporting:
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes; prepare accurate profit and loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets for management..
Expense Tracking:
Monitor corporate expenses and ensure accurate categorization across departments.
Secondary Focus:
HR & Payroll Administration (Approx. 20%)
Onboarding & Compliance:
Administer new hire paperwork, background checks, and maintain organized, compliant employee files.
Benefits & PTO:
Track employee paid time off (PTO) and act as the liaison for company health insurance or 401(k) plans. Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of accounting experience required; hospitality experience preferred Familiarity with accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger work Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with accounting or HRIS systems a plus [e.g., Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week]
