Job Description

We are seeking a HR/Payroll Generalist to join our non-profit client full-time. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance. Your responsibilities will encompass payroll administration, benefits coordination, and record-keeping. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $64,000 to $69,000 per year.
Job Description:
Process payroll promptly and accurately, adhering to established schedules. Verify and reconcile timekeeping data, deductions, and changes to ensure precise calculations. Communicate payroll deadlines and processes to staff, collaborating with employees and supervisors. Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies professionally. Handle wage garnishments as required by court or government orders. Maintain payroll worksheets and census spreadsheets. Update employee change forms in the HRIS system. Complete payroll-related journal entries and submit them to accounting. Assist with year-end audits related to Worker's Compensation and other relevant audits. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws. Prepare and file payroll-related reports as mandated by government agencies. Manage annual employment posters, including updates due to mid-year changes, and maintain e-posters for remote employees.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration. Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex). Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented and able to maintain confidentiality.
