We Are Safe We Are Future Thinkers We Play To Win We Respect Everyone and Work As A Team Position Summary the People & Culture Generalist is responsible for the successful execution of day-to-day HR practices at the unit level while supporting dnata Catering USA's people strategy. This role acts as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, guiding fair and compliant employee practices, reinforcing dnata's values, and driving a culture of safety, inclusion, and high performance. Employee Relations & Compliance Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations and policy concerns. Resolve employee disputes and union grievances for kitchen. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, as necessary. Conduct preliminary investigations for infractions; escalate complex ER matters to the Employee Relations Manager. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including union CBA adherence. Support corrective actions and maintain appropriate documentation with fairness and consistency Recruitment & Onboarding Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure seamless local hiring and onboarding. Lead on-site orientation and support timely completion of new hire documentation and training. Represent dnata at local recruitment events and job fairs to promote employer branding. Training & Development Monitor compliance training completion (e.g., MLZ, safety, and unit-specific). Promote upskilling opportunities, Train-the-Trainer initiatives, and talent development efforts. Support succession planning and mentorship initiatives at the unit level. Performance & Culture Champion dnata's People Experience focus areas: teamwork, belonging, wellbeing, and recognition. Support leadership in applying consistent and meaningful performance feedback and evaluations. Facilitate action plans following culture surveys and recognition programs. People Operations & Administration Maintain accurate records in the HRIS and ensure confidential handling of employee files. Support coordination of time, attendance, leaves of absence, and employee changes. Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and HR systems teams to resolve issues and ensure timely processing and accuracy of all data submitted to payroll/shared services. Safety Receives and responds to employment-related claims from various government or public agencies up to and including WC Claims; recommends settlement or defense based on actual investigation of facts. Responsible for ensuring all employee injuries are processed timely, and managed end-to-end, i.e., return to work, light duty accommodations, etc.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a unionized environment Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and employee relations practices. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on coaching, service, and collaboration. Bilingual (e.g., Spanish/English) preferred. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus. Pursuant to the Massachusetts Consumer Reporting Act (M.G.L. c. 93, § 52 et seq.) and the Massachusetts CORI statute (M.G.L. c. 6, § 172), dnata Catering may obtain a consumer report or criminal offender record information for employment purposes, consistent with state law. Applicants may request a copy of any report obtained.
New Jersey:
In accordance with the New Jersey Opportunity to Compete Act (N.J.S.A. 34:6B-11 et seq.) and applicable consumer reporting laws, background checks will be conducted only as permitted by law, and applicants will receive required notices and rights regarding any consumer report obtained.
Texas:
Background checks may be conducted in accordance with applicable Texas law and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Applicants will receive required disclosures and authorizations prior to any consumer report being obtained.
