5% local travelJob Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR policy implementation. This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while fostering a positive and professional workplace culture.Duties/Responsibilities:
Administer and support HR policies, procedures, and programs. Assist with the recruitment process including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and reference checks. Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation. Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS systems ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Assist employees with benefits questions and enrollment. Main point of contact for people relations. Support payroll processes by ensuring timecard approvals, employee changes, and documentation are submitted accurately and timely. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist with workers' compensation claims and leave administration (FMLA, CFRA, disability leave, etc). Support training programs and employee development initiatives. Assist with policy development and updates to the employee handbook. Generate HR reports and maintain required compliance records.Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience; or combination of Bachelor in Human Resources and 2 years experience. Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (such as ADP Workforce Now preferred). Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Benefits:
