As we continue to grow and expand our team, we're looking for an HR partner who can help us build a workplace that matches the quality of the experience we deliver to our customers. Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist will be the go-to people partner for our operation, owning the day-to-day HR function on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on, builder role — you'll handle recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and policy, and help us put strong HR foundations to bring the founder vision to a reality. This is a part time position but for the right candidate this can turn to a full time position as we grow. Position will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding
• Ongoing compliance in accordance to the State and Federal Law.
• Maintain accurate employee personnel files, I-9s, and confidential HR records
• Bi-Weekly payroll processing. ADP and or Pippling experience is preferred. Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and feedback
• Implement company employee development plan, coordinate with the managers and employees.
• Maintain, Train and update the employee handbook, SOPs, and workplace policies
• Help plan team events and culture moments that make CaliPokeHouse a great place to work Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of hands-on Human Resources experience in California (HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar)
• Experience across the full employee lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, offboarding
• Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, an applicant tracking system (ATS), and ADP payroll platform or similar
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to communicate effectively with hourly associates, managers, and executives
• Strong organizational skills, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work on-site in Pasadena (and Arcadia following our planned relocation) Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or aPHR certification
• Prior HR experience in ecommerce, retail, warehouse, fulfillment, or another high demanding environment
• Familiarity with the trading card game, collectibles, or creator/livestream space Benefits

Employment Type:
