55357BR LMS Advisor General Atomics San Diego California Job Summary General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world's leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies. We have an exciting opportunity for a LMS Administrator to join our Learning and Development team located in San Diego, CA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the administration and maintenance of the company's learning system technology to deliver online training to internal and/or external customers. Assists with data migrations, working with IT and outside vendors to test and troubleshoot systems issues; supports development of processes, content generation and loading; maintains training and user profile records; coordinates calendaring and enrollment, tracking, assessments, reporting and customer communications for learning events. In companies with training teams, may serve as a subject matter expert, training the community of business users to maximize the utilization of system features to create and manage learning events, training modules, assessments and reports. Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Other duties as assigned or required. Job Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related discipline and six or more years of progressive professional experience in a Human Resources department. May substitute a certificate in human resources from a recognized organization and/or equivalent experience in lieu of education. Must have a comprehensive understanding of human resource principles, theories and concepts and a complete and thorough knowledge of practices, techniques, and standards. Must be customer focused and possess: the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity; excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings to a variety of audiences including senior management and senior external parties: excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees, including senior managers and senior external parties; the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; the ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects; and excellent computer skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
