[Exempt] We are looking for a HR Generalist to help our growing team! The HR Generalist will oversee recruitment, employee relations, workers' compensation and other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations Serve as a trusted HR contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues Support employee relations investigations and issue resolution Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate full‑cycle recruiting: posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews Assist hiring managers with selection and offer processes Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation HR Administration Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data Prepare HR documentation such as offer letters, employment verifications, and disciplinary records Support offboarding processes, including exit interviews Benefits & Leave Administration Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, etc.) as applicable Coordinate with benefits vendors and payroll Compliance & Policies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Support audits and HR reporting requirements Assist in updating and communicating HR policies and procedures Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) 3-5 years of HR experience in a generalist or similar role Knowledge & Skills Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills High attention to detail and confidentiality Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑ paced environment Be a role model for Integrity, Courage and Conviction Adapts to changing business needs Be employee-focused and achievement-driven Fluent Computer skills Practical /pragmatic approach to problem solving & timely solution execution Manage conflicting priorities within tight deadlines effectively Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong collaboration skills to get things done within a matrix organization Excellent networking skill to build internal and external networks Excellent organization skills to set priorities Physical & Work Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer Occasional lifting of files or office materials Flexibility to support business needs as required Language Bilingual in English & Spanish required Education Bachelors' degree in Business Administration (or related field) preferred Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Disability insurance Paid vacation leave 401k with employee matching Employment Eligibility PAFCO does not offer sponsorship for this position Equal Employment Opportunity PAFCO is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
