Benefits Eligible Not Benefits Eligible Work Shift Day - 8 Hour or less Shift (United States of America) Department 8650 Human Resources The Human Resource Specialist provides support to the delivery of human resource services with specific responsibility for providing information to employees regarding policies and regulations; addressing a variety of issues and/or providing general support; maintaining records, files and databases of personnel actions, evaluations, and longevity; and assisting in ensuring that personnel functions conform to all applicable regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Required:
Two years experience in a Human Resource Department or in an area with a great deal of public contact.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Responsibilities Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Supports HR operations by identifying and recommending process improvements to increase efficiency. Ensures accurate processing and maintenance of employee records, job changes, and HRIS data. Monitors compliance for licensure, certifications, competencies, and required employment documentation (including I-9s). Processes certification reimbursements and other employee-related transactions per policy. Supports onboarding and lifecycle processes, including new hire, transfer, rehire, and return-to-work workflows. Collaborates with HR, Recruitment, Payroll, and Employee Health to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity. Provides general HR administrative support and cross-coverage, including front desk support and employee events. Additional Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Performs other duties as assigned.
