HR Generalist Industry:

Compton, LA, fully onsite
Direct Hire:
$28 - $30/hr Overview A well-established manufacturing company is looking for an early-career HR Generalist who is eager to grow, learn, and be developed within a fast-paced HR environment. This is a great opportunity for someone 2-3 years out of school who wants to build a strong HR foundation across recruiting, compliance, employee relations, and HR operations. The hiring manager values potential and moldability over experience, so if you are organized, sharp, well-spoken, and hungry to grow in HR, this is the role for you. Key Responsibilities Support the full talent acquisition cycle across an average of 10 open requisitions at a time, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and onboarding Administer employee leaves including LOA, FMLA/CFRA, workers' compensation, and leave monitoring for all employees Manage the semi-annual performance review process in alignment with salary review and bonus cycles Maintain accurate recordkeeping for hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and leaves Manage and process reporting requests from corporate leadership in a timely and accurate manner Conduct surveys, research, and data analysis related to HR policies, compensation, and employee relations initiatives Support preparation of HR documents including organizational charts, policies and procedures, and employee handbooks Manage state and federal HR compliance reporting requirements Support payroll processes with a solid understanding of payroll principles, though not responsible for processing Build and maintain HR data in Excel including formulas and pivot tables for reporting and analysis Provide general HR support across functions and projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required 2-3 years of HR generalist or HR functional experience preferred Working knowledge of California employment law and federal labor regulations is required Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables required Experience with ADP preferred; BambooHR or LinkedIn Recruiter experience is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Well-spoken and professional with strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
