Backed by Crete United's national platform, Nielsen combines strong local operations with the support, resources, and growth opportunities of a larger organization. We are seeking an Accountant / HR Specialist to support the day-to-day accounting, payroll, administrative, and HR functions for the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, staying organized, and supporting both financial operations and employee processes in a fast-paced service and construction environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience with accounting and office administration, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Assist with invoicing, vendor payments, and payment applications Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts Support payroll processing, timecard review, and payroll-related reporting Assist with employee onboarding paperwork and HR documentation Maintain employee files and personnel records Assist with job costing and project-related administrative support Support month-end accounting processes and reporting Coordinate office administration and general support tasks Assist with benefit administration and employee questions Support hiring coordination, interview scheduling, and onboarding activities Work with leadership to improve administrative workflows and processes Qualifications 2-5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or HR support experience Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll, and administrative processes Certified payroll experience is a plus Construction or service industry experience preferred Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum, Simpro, or similar ERP systems preferred Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills High attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and customer service mindset Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits Compensation:
