Human Resource SUMMER INTERN

Supermarket Human Resource Summer Intern Joseph Family Markets is a local family-owned company that operates as the ShopRite of Canton . We are driven by our company philosophy and our purpose: to care deeply about people, helping them to eat well and be happy. We are in search of a Summer Intern that fits our company culture to assist the company's Human Resource Manager with HR Generalist responsibilities.

Summary of Position:

The Human Resource (HR) Intern will work closely with the company's HR Manager assisting in functions such as: recruiting and talent acquisition, onboarding new part-time associates, associate engagement, and administrative tasks that help support the HR Manager. Our ideal candidate is a college student with a career path in the Human Resource field, an interest in retail-based Human Resources being a big plus. The position is paid $20/hour and part-time, 15-25 hours a week. With the internship being in a retail supermarket environment, the hours are flexible! Due to the nature of the position, ability to uphold professionalism and confidentiality is an absolute must.

Education and Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field Strong grammar, written and verbal communication skills Detail- oriented and excellent organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva/similar programs Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Ability to take initiative and work independently Strong problem solving skills This paid internship provides an introduction to the basic functions of retail Human Resources within a supportive environment.
