Job Description

Join Our Team as an Onboarding Specialist! A growing skilled nursing and rehabilitation organization is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and people-focused Onboarding Specialist to support the hiring and onboarding process for new employees. This role plays a key part in creating a positive first impression for new team members while ensuring compliance with healthcare and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for all new hires. Collect, review, and maintain employee onboarding documentation. Schedule and track pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, physicals, and credential verification. Ensure employee files are complete and compliant with federal, state, and facility requirements. Conduct new hire orientation and assist employees with onboarding paperwork. Partner with Human Resources, department managers, and facility leadership to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. Maintain onboarding records and reports within HR systems. Respond to new hire questions regarding benefits, policies, and employment requirements. Monitor onboarding timelines to ensure all requirements are completed prior to start dates.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, Onboarding, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, healthcare, or post-acute setting is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/Applicant Tracking Systems.
