HR Generalist I

HR Generalist I at Goodwill provides intermediate-level support, managing employee relations, compliance, and talent initiatives across multiple sites. They handle investigations, benefits administration, recruitment support, and ensure compliance with employment laws (EEO, OSHA, AAP). Candidates typically need several years of experience, a degree, and strong HRIS knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

Conducts investigations, counsels employees, and provides guidance to managers on performance management and disciplinary actions.

Compliance & Reporting:

Maintains records, ensures compliance with federal/state/local laws, and handles EEO-1 reporting.

Benefits & Payroll:

Facilitates benefits administration, including enrollments and annual renewals.

Talent Acquisition:

Supports onboarding, job postings, and recruitment efforts. Unemployment claims management

• both FL & GA, Insurance bill audit experience

Policy Implementation:

Updates and interprets company policies, ensuring consistency across the organization.

Qualifications Experience:

• Requires 2-5 years of progressive HR experience.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, OR related field preferred.

Skills:

• Proficiency in HRIS systems, strong knowledge of labor laws, and excellent communication skills.

Physical:

Often requires the ability to travel between Goodwill locations.
