In this role, you are responsible for assessing, designing, coordinating, and delivering employee and managerial training programs that support organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and compliance. This role serves as the primary point of contact for learning and development initiatives while also functioning as a generalist member of the HR team, supporting a broad range of human resources activities in a dynamic performing arts environment.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Training & Development (Primary Focus): Assess organizational, departmental, and individual training needs through data analysis, stakeholder consultation, surveys, performance metrics, and strategic priorities. Prioritize and develop a comprehensive training roadmap aligned with organizational goals, workforce needs, and compliance requirements. Design, create, and deliver engaging training programs for staff and managers, including onboarding, supervisory skills, leadership development, compliance, customer service, and performance management. Develop training materials such as curricula, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, presentations, and e‑learning content. Coordinate and facilitate live training sessions (in‑person and virtual) and evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance indicators. Research, evaluate, and recommend external training resources, vendors, consultants, conferences, and learning platforms to supplement internal offerings. Manage relationships with external training providers and ensure programs are cost‑effective and aligned with organizational standards. Track training, participation, completion, and outcomes; maintain accurate records and prepare reports for leadership.
Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:
Provide general HR support across functional areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance. Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Assist with HR initiatives and projects that support organizational culture, engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Support the administration and communication of personnel policies, employee programs, and HR systems. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications/Experience:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, training and development, or a related role. Demonstrated experience assessing training needs and designing and delivering employee and management training programs. Strong facilitation, presentation, and instructional design skills. Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and learning and development principles. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, creative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a performing arts, nonprofit, or mission‑driven organization. Experience with e‑learning platforms or learning management systems (LMS). Professional certification such as SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SCP, or PHR/SPHR, certification. Experience supporting leadership development and supervisory training. This role is a fully on-site position in a professional office environment. The ability to move throughout the campus to attend meetings, facilitate training sessions, and engage with employees across departments is required. It involves frequent and prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer, preparing materials, and reviewing documents. Standing, walking, and lifting training materials or supplies are required. Work is performed in a climate-controlled setting with typical noise levels associated with daily business operations. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support training schedules, meetings, or organizational events. The Kravis Center offers a full benefits package.
