Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment/Onboarding:
Executes full cycle talent acquisition process including but not limited to posting, sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, selection, offer negotiation and onboarding. Conducts required pre-employment activities to include assessments, background checks and drug screens. Coordinates the of use of temporary employees and assists with contractor set-up internally. Support onboarding and orientation efforts by assisting with post offer testing, hiring paperwork, system training, and other correspondence to applicants. Assist with onboarding of new hires. Assist with coordinating recruiting events, such as job fairs and internship events.General HR:
Provide administrative assistance to members of the HR department; including but not limited to issuing communications, record keeping and filing, payroll administration and coordinating meetings/events. Provide excellent customer service to internal customers and end-users in answering questions regarding candidate status, payroll and other HR-related issues. Performs data entry and maintains the system at a company and employee level; including hiring and terminations, pay and job changes, report generation, job code/department changes, and payroll administration. Assist department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees. Other duties as assigned.Other:
Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Local legal and regulatory requirements. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications Qualifications The Human Resources Specialist must perform the essential duties and responsibilities in a highly effective manner. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Demonstrated effective communications to include interacting with all levels of employees, negotiating, problem identification and resolutions, facilitation, organization, planning, prioritization and time management. Nature of the position requires an individual who has organizational skills, an ability to perform a large variety of work, is a self-directed individual with sound decision making ability and judgment. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. Must exhibit flexibility under pressure and demonstrated ability to produce results. Must have excellent relationship building and the desire to provide exceptional customer service. Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication and administrative skills. Comprehensive business process and systems knowledge, and the ability to identify and implement best practices. Ability to work under tight deadlines and balance multiple critical tasks. Attention to detail and strong project management skills are a must. Education and/orExperience Education:
High School diploma or GED required. B.S. degree in Business, Management, Human Resources or other related field preferred.Experience:
3 years of experience supporting HR functions including: recruitment and onboarding, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, compensation management, benefits administration, and training. Proficiency with HRIS systems (UltiPro preferred). Experience with Kronos or similar timekeeping system and current working knowledge of payroll practices and laws strongly preferred. Experience with iCIMS or other Applicant Tracking Systems a plus. Proficient in the use of office technologies (MS Excel, Outlook, and Word) and applicant tracking systems Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and possess the technical aptitude to understand data flow and system interaction. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member Demonstrated ability to deliver high level, responsive customer service in a business environment. Demonstrated proactive work ethic and sense of urgency to do what it takes to get the job done Ability to work with confidential data. Ability to prioritize work and have good organizational skills. Ability to travel as needed.Qualifications:
