POSITION SUMMARY
Processes all new hire and renewal contract recommendations for Clayton County Public Schools (certified and classified employees as applicable). Analyzes develops and manages personnel staffing allocations within the District. This position will also perform the following duties: develop staffing sheets in accordance with personnel and student enrollment projections, and maintains headcount changes in schools as enrollment changes in allotted positions. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes all contract recommendations for Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS); compiles completed application paperwork and supporting documents; issues initial and renewal contracts. Coordinates with administrative staff, school personnel, and the Department of Technology (DOT) as it pertains to candidate recommendations. Creates and maintains staffing sheets for each school within the District; generates notification letters of staffing changes - new hires, transfers, resignations, terminations of CCPS employees. Liaise with school personnel (teachers, school administrators, etc.), and the Human Resources Dept, to ensure accurate staffing allocations. Assists Position Control Coordinator with student and personnel enrollment projections. Creates, and updates databases and reports to monitor staffing activities. Prepares reports for department heads upon request. All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above services.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years administrative experience is required. Prior experience coordinating contracts and staffing within a school system; makes decisions and recommendations which affect the activities of others. Moderate level of judgment: supervisor is available to review established broad objectives; must approve general recommendations. Requires regular, frequent contact with internal/external personnel of influence and decision-making responsibility to discuss issues of moderate importance; requires continuing contact with officials at higher levels. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with inter-organizational teams. May require additional working hours during the contract renewal process.
NOTE:
This is a grade 23, 225 day position that pays for experience up to a Step 4.
