Primary Function:
Under general supervision of the Executive Vice President of Human Resources, this position performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, benefits, staffing, training, compliance and employment equity programs. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards, and policies of Willis Automotive.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness, information activities program, and cash flow. Administers health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; monitors career pathing program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling; writes and places position advertisements. Function as a business advisor to the management team regarding key organizational and management issues. Communicates changes in organization policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed. Coaches and Counsels managers for team and personal development. Establishes and implements training and development programs based on organization needs. Drives training initiatives and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. Actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. Oversees compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Participates on organization committees as required by EVP, HR or management team. Oversees workers compensation program and ensures compliance with organization policies; evaluates third party insurance partner periodically.
What we need from you:
Bachelors Degree required Five years of progressive Human Resources experience required
PHR/SHRM-CP
preferred, but not required Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents Ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the organization Ability to keep current on employment laws and regulations
