The primary role of the Human Resources Generalist is to support the daily human resources operations and help foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. This role handles employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, performance management support, and HR policy implementation. The ideal candidate is organized, people-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process Conduct onboarding and orientation for new employees Maintain applicant tracking and hiring records Employee Relations Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns Assist with conflict resolution and workplace investigations Promote positive employee engagement and company culture Support performance management and corrective action processes HR Compliance Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation Assist with policy administration and updates Support OSHA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and wage/hour compliance efforts Compensation & Benefits Assist with benefits enrollment and employee education Support payroll coordination and compensation tracking Participate in salary benchmarking and annual review processes Training & Development Coordinate employee training and development programs Track required compliance training Support leadership development initiatives HR Administration Maintain HRIS and employee records Prepare HR reports and metrics Support audits and internal HR projects Assist with employee leave administration Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 2 + years of HR experience Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems Preferred SHRM - CP or PHR certification Multi-state HR experience Experience with payroll systems and benefits administration Skills & Competencies Employee relations Recruiting and interviewing Conflict resolution Organization and time management Attention to detail Professional judgment Policy interpretation Communication and coaching
