Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist administers and supports a wide range of human resources programs and processes across the associate lifecycle. This role partners with managers and associates to promote a positive, compliant, and engaging work environment while ensuring adherence to company policies and applicable employment laws.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with supervisors and managers to maintain a fair and positive work environment for associates; responds to associate concerns promptly and professionally. Participates in associate relations investigations and advises supervisors and managers in disciplinary action processes. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures compliance among policies, procedures, and reporting. Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects associates to fill vacant positions. Plans and conducts new associate orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and associate statistics for government reporting. Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment. Advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. Administers hourly pay program to ensure compliance and equity within organization. Answers questions and assists with administration of benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurance, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and associate assistance. Prepares associate separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.Education/ Skills/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Required skills:
