Job Description
The HR Generalist supports daily human resources operations for a pharmacy organization by managing employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, performance management, and HR recordkeeping. This role helps ensure a positive workplace culture while maintaining compliance with healthcare, pharmacy, and employment regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and experienced in HR practices within a healthcare or pharmacy environment. Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Staffing Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring processes. Conduct onboarding and orientation for new employees. Maintain staffing records and assist managers with workforce planning. Support retention initiatives and employee engagement efforts. Employee Relations Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and workplace concerns. Assist in resolving employee relations issues in a professional and confidential manner. Promote a positive and compliant work environment. HR Administration Maintain employee files, HRIS records, and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Process employment changes including promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Assist with payroll coordination and timekeeping accuracy. Compliance & Policy Management Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including HIPAA and pharmacy-related workplace regulations. Support OSHA, workplace safety, and required training programs. Assist with audits, licensing documentation, and regulatory reporting as needed. Maintain and update employee handbook and HR policies. Benefits & Leave Administration Support employee benefits enrollment and answer benefit-related questions. Coordinate leave requests including FMLA and workers' compensation documentation. Communicate benefits updates and wellness initiatives. Performance & Training Assist managers with performance evaluations and employee development plans. Coordinate training programs and mandatory compliance education. Track certifications, licenses, and continuing education requirements where applicable.
