), GS-0201-11, you will serve as the Ste's Training and Development Program Manager and advisor to key management on the full range of Human Resource Development (HRD) options for the workforce (Title 32/5 and Active Guard Reserve (AGR)). Provide HRD management advisory services to the senior leadership of the organizion, including designing, developing, and evaluing major portions of the organizion's HRD program. Provide direct guidance to managers and supervisors on employee development. Has frequent contact with supervisors, managers, and employees regarding short- and long-range training objectives. May provide guidance for Continuion in Service Agreements, and available funding for training fees and travel. Identifies courses, by evaluing mission requirements and cost considerions as they pertain to training objectives. Develop policy and procedures the ste level for identifying organizional and individual training needs, training opportunities, and sources. May be a Training Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder. Work Schedule:
This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule th consists of a 5 day workweek, then a 4 day workweek ( 8 nine-hour days and 1 eight-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80 hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an approprie valid driver's license is mandory. May be require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. Qualificions
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Must have general experience to demonstre you have the ability to: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gher pertinent da, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communice effectively orally and in writing. Such experience may have been gained in administrive, professional, technical, investigive, or other responsible work.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have least1-year specialized experience, equivalent to least the next lower grade with expert knowledge of HR laws, regulions, principles, policies, and concepts reled to the assigned functional area sufficient to plan and coordine activities, provide HR management advisory services, and serve as a stregic and technical resource to management and HR Specialists on difficult issues, skilled in making clear and convincing oral presentions to individuals or groups, listening effectively, and clarifying informion as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking in offices and similar areas for meetings and to conduct HR work. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and tendance meetings and conferences away from the worksite. The work does not require any special physical effort.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work area is adequely lighted, heed, and ventiled. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts th require normal safety precautions. During emergency operions, may be working in an area th is not an established office environment. Travel to emergency operions centers required and may be for extended periods of time.
