Disability Insurance Life Insurance Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Position Summary Gordon, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support the full scope of human resources operations at our Bossier City facility. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about supporting employees and driving a positive workplace culture aligned with our core values of ethics, involvement, and ownership.
Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
Partner with hiring managers to source, screen, interview, and select candidates for manufacturing, technical, and administrative roles. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process and conduct effective new hire orientations and onboarding.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions and concerns. Support performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes while promoting a positive, inclusive work environment.
Benefits & Compensation Administration:
Assist with benefits enrollment, leave administration (FMLA, workers' comp, etc.), payroll support, and compensation processes.
HR Compliance & Administration:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, update policies, and prepare reports as needed.
Training & Development:
Coordinate training programs, support employee development initiatives, and help foster a culture of continual improvement.
HR Projects & Support:
Contribute to special projects such as policy development, employee engagement activities, ESOP communications, and HR metrics reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). 2-5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of employment laws (EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.). Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Experience with APS Online and APS Hire preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with a customer-service mindset. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Must be authorized to work in the United States. What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
