Generalist Location:
Metairie, LA (On-site)
Job Type:
Full-time The Personnel Consulting Group is looking for an HR generalist for a rapidly growing, culture-driven construction company with a culture built on employee engagement. This brand-new role was created for someone looking to be a trusted advisory partner for field employees and management who will focus on coaching, culture-building, and strategic influence. This position reports directly to the HR in a collaborative environment. Your primary mission will be to build genuine rapport with the workforce, streamline field processes, and help develop team members into future leaders.
Key Responsibilities Field Relationship Building & Coaching:
Act as a true partner to our field employees and managers. You will proactively reach out to coach employees and guide field management on effective leadership.
High-Volume Onboarding & Coordination:
Own the onboarding experience for a growing team, and collaborate tightly with field scheduling to ensure seamless integration.
Process Improvement & Automation:
Help pull administrative burdens off our field employees by creating efficient processes, driving automation, and successfully rolling out a timekeeping app.
Safety & Incident Response:
Coordinate safety meetings and manage real-time field issues, including reviewing driver safety metrics and handling post-accident protocols.
Culture & Communications:
Design, own, and execute an employee recognition program, and develop a comprehensive corporate communications plan to keep the team connected.
What We Are Looking For The Right Attitude:
You are approachable, solutions-oriented, and possess a high degree of emotional intelligence.
Construction-Industry Savvy:
YOu have experience working with construction or construction-adjacent workforces. The "Strategic Doer": You are comfortable handling daily responsibilities while keeping your eyes on the bigger picture of corporate culture and process improvement.
Experience Level:
at least five years HR experience
Benefits & Perks Salary:
$70,000 - $85,000 / year (Depending on experience)
