Monroe, LA Job Summary This role is responsible for owning and executing the full-cycle recruitment process while actively building the company's presence in the community and supporting internal culture initiatives. The Talent & Community Outreach Specialist leads all recruiting efforts from sourcing through offer stage, including developing creative strategies to attract high-quality candidates, managing job postings, screening applicants, and coordinating the hiring process with managers. In addition to recruitment, this role serves as a key outward-facing representative of the company by driving community engagement, supporting marketing initiatives, and identifying opportunities to increase brand visibility. This position also partners with the HR team to enhance employee experience by leading culture and engagement initiatives that promote recognition, connection, and alignment with company values.
Duties/Responsibilities Responsibilities will include:
1. Full-Cycle Recruitment Ownership Own recruitment process from job posting through offer letter Create, post, and manage job listings across platforms Review applications, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews Administer assessments (e.g., Working Genius) and evaluate candidate fit Partner with hiring managers to align on needs, timelines, and decisions Extend offers and maintain consistent, professional communication with candidates 2. Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and networking Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles Develop creative and non-traditional recruiting strategies to attract talent Track and report on recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, etc.) 3. Community Outreach & Employer Branding Represent the company at job fairs, schools, trade events, and community functions Build relationships with local organizations, workforce programs, and community partners Identify and execute opportunities to increase visibility as an employer of choice Promote company culture, career opportunities, and growth paths externally 4. Marketing & Recruitment Campaign Support Collaborate with marketing to develop recruiting campaigns and materials Assist with social media content related to hiring and company culture Help create flyers, digital content, and outreach messaging Align recruiting efforts with broader brand and growth initiatives 5. Culture & Employee Engagement Initiatives Assist with plans for company-wide culture and engagement initiatives and compliance across locations Assist with execution of quarterly activities, recognition programs, and employee events Develop creative ideas for swag, celebrations, and team-building experiences Support employee recognition programs Promote and reinforce company values through consistent engagement efforts Supervisory Responsibilities This role does not include direct supervisory duties but does require cross-functional collaboration and informal leadership through accountability, support, and follow-through. Required Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal skills; confident and engaging in both one-on-one and group settings Natural relationship builder with both candidates and community partners Creative thinker with a proactive, "figure it out" mindset Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and social media) Ability to collaborate across departments High level of ownership, initiative, and follow-through Comfortable representing the company publicly and professionally Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in recruiting, outreach, marketing, or related rolepreferred Experience with social media recruiting, community engagement, or event coordination preferred Experience in a fast-paced or operations-based environment is a plus Familiarity with HRIS systemsis a plus Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and using a computer. Ability to type, handle documents, andoperateoffice equipment. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms; occasional bending, stooping, and kneeling to access files or supplies. Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 15 pounds as needed. Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via electronic communication. Ability tooperatea motor vehicle (if needed for office support errands). Conditions of Employment Successful completion of a background check. Motor Vehicle Report complete with requirements met for being insured on company vehicle insurance policy (if applicable). Verification of your qualifications and references.
