Recruiting/Onboarding Specialist Department:
Human Resources Pay Rate:
$24/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm General Description Responsible for providing general administrative support to the human resource department across a variety of human resource tasks. This position will have considerable contact within all levels of the organization. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor Degree required, Human Resources related degree preferred, proven work experience with recruiting and onboarding with at least two years of experience in the field of HR (five years preferred) and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal, communication (written/verbal) and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. General understanding of labor laws within the states of RI and MA. Experience in a Human Services agency a bonus. Job Responsibilities Assists HR department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all employees Forward applications to Directors/Supervisors from The Arc website Send out offer letters and conduct reference checks Sends out education verification and ensure we receive back Conducting required employee background checks to include BCI, CORI, DCYF, DPPC, Driving Record and OIG. Delete terms from Mass driving website Keep recruitment tracking sheet updated Update Indeed, Paycor and Internal postings as well as The Arc website Facilitate monthly Workforce Meetings with Directors/Supervisors Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges, etc Attends job fairs as scheduled and CNA graduations monthly Conduct weekly Orientation and prepare materials Coordinate the School to Work Program Assists Director of HR and HR Manager with various special projects Performs other related duties as required and assigned Employment compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to use hands in order to handle or feel objects, tools and controls; reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally be required to lift/transfer up to 50/70 lbs. alone or occasionally up to 200lbs with the assistance of other staff.
