HR Generalist Bitner-Henry Insurance "Serving those who Serve Others"

Position Summary Under the overall direction of the Senior Manager, the HR Generalist fulfills a wide variety of human resource and agency administration functions including but not limited to the following:- Employee engagement
- HR policy development and administration
- Agency risk management
- Applicant tracking system administrator
- Employee benefits development (new product line for customers) As a leader within the agency, the HR Generalist leads by example demonstrating the values of the Bitner Henry Insurance Group.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Keeps the Senior Manager current by meeting regularly and issuing timely, complete, and accurate reports.
- Aligns recruiting, retention, and development, and evaluation processes of employees.
- Reports on key human resource metrics.
- Following up with managers and leaders on opportunities to improve people processes.
- Ensures that applicant tracking systems are efficient, accurate, and serve the mutual interests of applicants and the agency.
- Develops and implements agency risk management initiatives.
- Maintains a working knowledge of human resource laws and regulations.
- Assist in benefits administration for employees.
- In cooperation with field agents, develop client proposals for employee benefit plans; and maintain accurate records of these plans in our CRM.
- Develops and monitors compensation models.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive company and client information. Role Qualifications
- Clear and concise listener and communicator
- Committed to continuous learning of industry best practices.
- Manages multiple priorities to completion including monitoring of deadlines.
- Ability to learn Insurance agency operations. Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of human resource experience required.
- Strong skills and experience with enterprise (IT) systems.
- Experience with a professional service provider is preferred. Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field required.
- Master's degree a plus.
- Health insurance license or ability to obtain one.
- A professional HR designation or relevant experience plus a willingness to earn a professional designation is required.
Rewards:
Base pay $85K to $110K annuallyBenefits:

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
