- Full-time Act as Human Resources Generalist for assigned Business units.
Support units through growing and developing business partnerships, employee relations, recruiting, staffing & retention, training, organizational design & development, and compensation & benefits. Provide counsel and information to clients to assist with the execution of business strategy that meets business needs. Provide a positive environment and reduce legal risk to the organization. Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures personnel actions are processed timely and accurately (i.e., new-hire, transfers, promotions, and terminations)
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Full-life cycle recruiting, including but not limited to: building strong business partnerships with Hiring Manager by developing effective recruiting strategies, source and identify candidates, review and screen resumes, and interview candidates of all levels including management roles and effectively manage applicants through applicant tracking system from application to onboarding.
- Manages personnel files
- ensures records are complete and accurate (paper / imaged)
- Tracks program compliance (i.e., FMLA, LOA, sexual harassment claims, code of conduct)
- Oversees service award program administration and event
- Recommends improvements from analysis of HR metrics and / or observation of HR processes
- Coordinates and / or deliver New Associate Orientation (NAO)
- Facilitates onboarding, compliance training, HR policies and procedures communication, and management development training
- Review and respond to unemployment claim with appropriate documentation and unemployment statements
- Act as liaison between employees and insurance providers and resolves benefits-related issues
- Research, resolves, or escalates issues related to payroll, vacation, leave, and / or benefits
- Research associate complaints / issues

- Answers associate and management questions regarding HR Policies
- Tracks HR Metrics (i.e., exit interviews, service levels
- / HR administration, sick bank accruals)
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Work with Hiring Managers on full-cycle recruitment initiatives.
- Primary point of contact for local Investigates, grievance, EEO and/or ADA related issues.
- Ensure consistency and fairness in policy and procedure; also, as it relates to Federal and State law requirements. Report findings and respond appropriately.
- Facilitate various training as needed in the areas of management & overall associate development, diversity, harassment, new hire orientations, and performance management.
- Under direction of the Sr. HR Manager, consult clients on changing organization needs and/or changes.
- Process and manage all organizational changes and movement through PeopleSoft; conduct data audits to ensure accuracy.
Job Requirements Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's degree in related field; equivalent work experience. HRCI or SHRM Certification in Human Resources a plus. 3-5 years generalist human resources or other related business experience, including behavioral interviewing, employment, training, employee relations, compensation, diversity, management/organizational development, risk management and loss control. Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving. Strong conflict management skills. Ability to work effectively with all levels of associates and management. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and influence others. High degree of initiative; proven team player, excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. HR recruiting experience to include positions at management level. HR generalist experience with an emphasis on training, management coaching, employee relations, conflict resolution, and management/organizational development preferred. Online recruiting software experience preferred. Must be able to manage confidential information. Proficient computer skills including PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office. Sits for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping and twisting required periodically. Uses calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday. Workday is fast paced; may require some weekend/nights as business dictates.
