NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING
Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants for a Human Resources Specialist to provide high-level administrative, operational, and customer service support to the Human Resources Department and Expanded Learning & Ecosystem Development Department. The position coordinates a variety of Human Resources programs and processes, including employee services, staffing support, leave and benefits administration support, Workers' Compensation coordination, budget support, compliance activities, and executive-level administrative functions. While Worker's Compensation coordination is part of the position, prior Worker's Compensation experience is not required. Training will be provided for candidates with strong customer service, organizational, and administrative skills. Eden Prairie is a diverse school district with approximately 1,500 employees serving over 9,500 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming. Work Allocation Model To ensure clarity of priorities and effective workload management, the following allocation model guides the distribution of responsibilities. 80% - Human Resources (Primary Assignment) Employee Services and customer support Human Resources and staffing support Benefits and leave administration support Human Resources budget coordination and claims support Workers' compensation coordination and claims support Executive and administrative support to Human Resources leadership Human Resources projects, communications, and process improvement initiatives 20% - Expanded Learning & Ecosystem Development Administrative support to Expanded Learning & Ecosystem Development leadership Coordination of meetings, events, and partnership activities Administrative support for workforce development, community education, and ecosystem initiatives Support for external engagement, communications, and strategic projects with learning platforms to include internships and certificate management
