Responsibilities This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills. Coordinates employee onboarding processes including orientation materials, employment documentation, system setup, and personnel file creation. Prepares employment offer letters, hiring documentation, contract materials, and related personnel records. Coordinates and manages job postings on district and external recruitment platforms. Maintains and updates HRIS systems, employee status records, assignments, and personnel databases to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepares and maintains Board personnel transaction reports and other required employment documentation. Supports district compliance with wage theft notice requirements, employment recordkeeping regulations, and personnel reporting requirements. Develops, maintains, and distributes personnel, payroll, absence, and union-related reports for district administrators and operational needs. Creates, maintains, and troubleshoots absence management and reporting systems; prepares comprehensive absence and staffing reports. Provides payroll and benefits support including benefit reconciliations, COBRA administration support, payroll question resolution, and backup support for payroll overpayment processing. Assists with preparation and processing of year-end staff actions including contract renewals, non-renewals, assignments, and unrequested leaves of absence. Assists employees with HR forms, processes, contracts, policies, and procedures; responds to questions and provides support within scope of authority. Researches and resolves personnel, payroll, and employment-related issues; communicates updates, changes, and resolutions to employees and administrators. Processes employment-related documents, records, and applications; reviews information for completeness, validity, and accuracy and resolves discrepancies as appropriate. Exercises independent judgment in resolving technical and operational issues; escalates matters requiring policy interpretation or administrative review. Collects, compiles, and maintains statistical, operational, and personnel data and prepares technical and administrative reports as requested. Promotes and supports the mission of the District by maintaining professional, courteous, and collaborative relationships with employees, administrators, and the public. Requirements Bachelor's degree in human resources, public or business administration, or a closely related field. Two (2) years of professional human resources support experience preferred. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Knowledge:
