    ABOUT THE JOB
    The Healthcare Human Resources Shared Services Specialist performs specialized work surrounding the employee experience. The HR Shared Services Specialist is responsible for answering inquiries over the phone, online, and in person. The HR Shared Services Specialist also supports the Human Resources department globally by assisting with shared services through moderately complex transactional processes.

    DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
    Establish and maintain effective, positive relationships with MU Health Care employees and leadership by providing prompt and accurate results to inquiries surrounding information requests, consultation, and guidance surrounding policy, practice, and procedures while exemplifying our Culture of Yes behaviors in all interactions. Provide support by phone, email, or online primarily to applicants, volunteers, students, contractors/vendors, and other non-employees about HR-related inquiries. Oversee the onboarding process of new hires to ensure an effective onboarding experience by answering questions related to the new hire process, scheduling appointments, collecting and processing new hire documentation (health screens, background checks, employment verification, etc.) Provide consultation on human resources inquiries to include: ID badges, applications, directions, and general information on the location of policies, procedures, and processes. Provide central administrative support for the department by processing department documents and updating related employment information. Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of HR workflows toward anticipating the needs of MU Health Care customers. Review, process, create, and ensure integrity of all workforce-related employment actions. Identify when employment action should be taken and ensure the accurate timely entry of the appropriate action. Ensure titles, dates, vetting, compensation, work authorizations, I-9s, E-verify, EDL, OIG, etc. meet all regulatory, procedural, and policy requirements. Manage and ensure the onboarding of workforce members to ensure timely and accurate documentation and processing. Perform varied, advanced administrative work to include compiling, inputting, preparing, revising, storing, and retrieving correspondences, reports, data, or other documents related to purchasing and assisting with special projects as needed. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Two (2) years of office, customer service, human resources, or closely related experience.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Experience in a call-center environment. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
