Requirements:
What You'll Do As an HR Specialist, you will work closely with the HR Manager and team leaders to support hiring, onboarding, development, and retention—all while making sure we stay aligned with best practices and labor laws.
Your Impact Will Include:
Payroll & Benefits Prepare, review, and submit accurate payroll data in compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. Work with the HR Manager to administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and reconciliations. Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll questions. Support payroll audits and reporting. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs. Lead recruitment strategies, job postings, and applicant screening. Coordinate interviews, reference checks, and Predictive Index assessments. Onboarding & Offboarding Deliver smooth onboarding experiences and orientation for new hires. Ensure all documentation, training, and systems access are in place. Manage offboarding procedures with care and compliance. Employee Relations Provide support and guidance to employees on policies and procedures. Help resolve workplace concerns and promote a healthy work environment. Champion recognition programs that celebrate great work. Compensation & Benefits Administer benefit plans and assist with payroll and enrollment. Support compensation for benchmarking and reporting. Prepare payroll data and benefit-related reports. Training & Development Design and facilitate engaging training sessions. Help employees chart meaningful development paths. Equip managers with tools for performance coaching and feedback. Compliance & Recordkeeping Maintain accurate records in HRIS systems. Monitor key HR metrics and support audits and reporting. Ensure we meet all federal, state, and internal HR requirements. Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety practices What You Bring to the Team Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field (required) Hands-on experience in HR or related roles Familiarity with HRIS (e.g., Employee Navigator, Paylocity, Paycor), ATS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. A commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and continuous improvement Physical Demands Sitting for extended period and frequent use of hands to type, handle documents, and operate standard office equipment, while occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, or lift items weighing up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus, especially when working with computer screens and printed materials. This position may occasionally require minimal travel to attend meetings, training, or other business-related events.
