  • Missouri School for the Deaf (MSD) School Human Resource Analyst $50,520 annually Technically difficult position, assisting in the personnel administration activities for State Schools. Must exercise considerable independent judgment and discretion in contacts with personnel, and in making advanced decisions of determination involving the application of rules. Responsibilities
  • What you'll do
Essential Functions:
(The listed examples do not include all tasks and responsibilities, which may be involved with this position.) Initiate, prepare and perform all payroll duties and personnel actions in SAMII for new and existing employees. This includes promotions, transfers, probationary increases, leave without pay, overtime, terminations, retirements, etc. Review payroll and leave reports to ensure accuracy. Meet all required deadlines for timely dissemination of pay to employees. Maintain employee records and files for all personnel and payroll activities as well as inactive employee files. Properly handle and maintain confidential staff information. Responsible for preparing and posting job vacancies in hiretrue and online platfoms. Participate in the hiring process of coordinating with the hiring section, and applicants. Research and respond to questions from staff related to state benefits, payroll, leave, and DESE policies and procedures. Oversee compliance with and facilitation of policies and procedures of the Family Medical Leave Act, ADA Accommodations, workers compensation, shared leave, tuition reimbursement, background checks, etc. Prepare reports, forms and documents clearly and concisely with appropriate data. Maintain an effective and harmonious working relationships with staff members. Work independently and have independent judgement skills. Ability to meet the American Sign Language competency level of Novice. Performs related work as assigned. Qualifications

Qualifications/Education:
A bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, personnel, business administration, or related areas; or Two years of previous full-time work and/or supervision, technical experience in a State of Missouri human resource operation implementing payroll, benefits, workers' compensation, retirement and similar programs. Lack of post‐secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
