This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101. Responsibilities - What you'll do What you'll do: Initiate and perform the payroll duties for all personnel actions, which include full-time and temporary new employees, promotions, transfers, probationary increases, leave without pay, terminations and retirements. Process payroll deductions. Calculate individual employee pay distribution. Meet all required deadlines for timely dissemination of pay to employees. Maintain complex data in several databases and SAM II system. Includes all employment and position information in SAM II, data in personnel database and staff time and leave system. Prepare related payroll and personnel forms. Verify accuracy of payroll checks. Provide training related to payroll and procedures to area office administrative assistants and central office timekeepers. Qualifications - All you need for success All you need for success: A bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, personnel, business administration, or related areas. OR 2. Four years of previous work and/or supervision, technical experience in a State of Missouri human resource operation implementing payroll, benefits, workers' compensation, retirement and similar programs may be substituted for the bachelor's degree. Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
