5 /hr Posted April 27, 2026 Overview We are seeking a highly responsive, detail oriented Presentation Designer to support the Chief People Officer (CPO) within the Employee Experience / HR organization. This role is critical to ensuring high impact, executive level presentations are developed quickly and accurately in a fast moving, deadline driven environment. The CPO relies heavily on presentations to communicate strategy, initiatives, and updates across the organization. Working from a template, with provided content and direction; often provided close to deadlines, requiring a designer who is comfortable working on call, onsite, and in close proximity to executive leadership. Additionally, this person will update their SharePoint intranet with presentations and slides (no SharePoint knowledge is required). This is a contract role that is 40 hours a week for 4-5 months and onsite in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri; 5 days a week. Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Presentation Support
  • Develop, refine, and finalize PowerPoint presentations for the Chief People Officer
  • Translate last minute inputs, evolving details, and complex information into clear, polished, executive ready decks
  • Work onsite, stationed outside the CPO's office, to support real time edits and rapid turnaround requests
  • Partner closely with the CPO, who has very specific creative and content expectations, and help guide best practices in presentation design and storytelling
  • Educate and influence the CPO on layout, flow, clarity, and visual hierarchy while maintaining her vision Program & Initiative Support
  • Create and maintain presentations for multiple large scale HR initiatives, including but not limited to:
  • -Performance Management
  • brand new system rolling out August/September
  • -Travel Program
  • ongoing updates and rollout communications
  • -Additional enterprise HR programs requiring weekly and executive level readouts Monday leadership meetings and other key forums requiring concise, high-impact decks These initiatives span multiple HR teams, including:
  • -Community Impact
  • -Learning & Development
  • -Performance Management Design & Creative Execution
  • Use an existing PowerPoint template as a starting point and enhance as needed
  • Apply strong visual design, layout, and typography skills
  • Incorporate light animation or motion where appropriate to elevate storytelling
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment across all materials Required Skills & Experience
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint (PC) and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong experience designing presentations for executive level audiences
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under tight, shifting deadlines
  • Comfortable with frequent last minute changes and incomplete inputs
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage up with senior leadership
  • Experience working within Creative Services or in partnership with creative leadership preferred This is a high visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership and enterprise wide initiatives In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
