Human Resource & Safety Specialist Pierce Billings, MT Job Details Full-time $65,000 - $78,000 a year 9 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Life insurance Qualifications Talent acquisition platforms ATS Conflict management HRIS Full Job Description Pierce RV & Flooring Companies, a family-owned business with a century-long legacy in Montana, is seeking a highly skilled HR & Safety Specialist to oversee human resources operations and workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate brings human resource experience including; employee administration and relations, recruitment, strong knowledge of both State and Federal safety and HR employment regulations. The HR & Safety Specialist will work closely with the Vice President and the Chief Operating Officer of both Pierce companies. Responsibilities Talent acquisition & Staffing - Recruiting, interviewing and onboarding employees, including coordinating background checks, and pre-employment drug testing Employee relations - Act as point of contact for employee concerns, grievances and conflict resolution. Maintain electronic personnel files and confidential employee records in HRIS and benefit systems. Employee administration within HRIS and benefit systems. Ensure compliance with employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA and EEOC state labor laws.) Promote positive workplace culture across sales, service and operation teams. Assist employees with benefit open enrollment and life event changes, ensuring benefit portal is updates. Ensure annual worker compensation reports (OSHA 300 and 300-A) are completed timely for each location. Maintain close communication with worker compensation claims manager and insurance carrier when employee injury occurs. Work closely with store manager for modified duty and safe return-to-work opportunities when employee is returning to from injury. Qualifications 3-7 years' experience in the HR and Safety profession. Ability to perform work independently, accurately and thoroughly. Strong communication and problem solving skills as it pertains to employee administration, documentation and presentation. Employee conflict resolution and coaching skills. Must maintain confidentiality of employee and business matters. Strong understanding of both the employee and employer facing side of HRIS and Benefit systems. Experience with applicant tracking systems, job postings and position description development.
