Job Description
Job Summary Key Responsibilities Human Resources (primary focus) Manage recruitment for office and field positions, including posting jobs, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions. Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including new-hire paperwork, orientation, and terminations. Handle ADP ongoing employee maintenance , including setting up new hires, processing status changes, managing terminations, and keeping employee records accurate and up to date. Manage benefits administration , including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee questions, in coordination with carriers and ADP. Ensure compliance and reporting , including maintaining required HR and payroll records, supporting audits, and generating reports from ADP as needed. Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws. Assist with HR policies, safety documentation, workers' compensation paperwork, and employee communications. Serve as a resource for employees and managers on HR-related questions. Payroll, ADP (secondary focus) Process payroll accurately and on time using ADP, including timesheet review, job coding, and deductions. Maintain accurate payroll-related data in ADP and run regular and ad-hoc reports for management. Qualifications Experience in human resources, payroll, or HR administration (construction or trades environment a plus). 1-2 years relevant Payroll/HR experience is a must Hands-on experience with ADP, including payroll processing, ongoing employee maintenance , and reporting. Experience with benefits administration and basic HR compliance and reporting . Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with cloud-based systems preferred. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and follow-through. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a small team environment. Benefits & Work Environment Part-time schedule, Weekdays from 2-6 PM, in office only.
