HRIS Data Specialist

The HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining, updating, and ensuring the accuracy of employee data within HR systems (Spectrum ERP and SutiHR). This role supports HR operations by managing data entry, running reports, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with data standards and policies. This is NOT a consulting position and candidate must be local in NC. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS systems (Spectrum and SutiHR) Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all HR platforms Process HR transactions (i.e., employee changes such as hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, compensation changes and deductions) Run standard and ad hoc HR reports for HR and leadership teams Audit HR data regularly to identify and correct discrepancies Support payroll, benefits, and compliance reporting through accurate data management Troubleshoot data and system issues; escalate when needed Maintain documentation of HRIS processes and procedures Required Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field Good organizational and time management skills 1-3+ years of experience in HRIS or HR operations Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Strong proficiency in Excel (data cleanup, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, etc.) Experience working with HRIS systems Preferred Qualifications Experience with Spectrum Experience with data integration tools, APIs, BI Knowledge of HR processes (recruiting, payroll, benefits) Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards
