We are currently seeking an experienced: ONBOARDING andENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST JOB SUMMARY
Orientation & Onboarding Facilitate engaging and interactive orientation sessions for new staff, coveringanizational values, policies, procedures, andpliance standards. Use a variety of instructional techniques and formats (e.g., presentations, role-playing, group discussions) to amodate different learning styles. Serve as a positive ambassador for theanization, modeling professionalism and enthusiasm. Follow up with new employees post-orientation to promote engagement and support retention efforts. Collaborate with HR, clinical leadership, and department heads to ensure orientation content is current and aligned withanizational goals. Evaluate the effectiveness of orientation sessions and continuously improve content and delivery based on feedback. Training Coordination & Competency Tracking Schedule and coordinate on-the-job training (OJT) for new hires and existing staff across departments. Track skills validation andpetencypletion for all new hires, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up. Maintain and audit employee files for accuracy andpletion, specifically for assigned skilled nursing and senior living facilities. Track electronic education andpetencypliance using digital platforms; promote timelypletion within assigned facilities. Generate and distribute regular reports on training andpetency status to leadership. Engagement & Mentorship Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment Recruit, train, and support departmental mentors to enhance on-boarding and peer support Collaborate with leadership to identify engagement opportunities and address retention challenges Monitor engagement metrics and rmend improvements based on data and feedbackJOB REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in Health, Human Services, or a related field is required. Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Human Services, Education, or a related discipline is strongly preferred. Experience in employee training, onboarding, or engagement programs preferred. Stronganizational andmunication skills, with the ability to facilitate interactive training sessions. Proficiency in using electronic systems for tracking education andpetencies.
