Fargo, ND Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Salary:
$55,000-$60,000 annually

Position Overview A well-established, family-oriented Fargo employer is seeking a motivated Human Resources & Safety Specialist to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in workplace safety, recruiting, and human resources who enjoys supporting employees and helping create a safe, positive work environment. The Safety Administrator / HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Director, company leadership, and field safety personnel. This position supports recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, safety training, regulatory compliance, and employee development. Key Responsibilities Coordinate, conduct, document, and track employee safety training and safety-related events. Manage full-cycle recruiting, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and offer coordination. Partner with managers to onboard new employees and deliver company orientation and safety training. Maintain and prepare required environmental, OSHA, workplace health, and safety documentation and reports. Ensure employee and applicant records are accurate, organized, confidential, and compliant with applicable requirements. Administer employee benefits, including eligibility, enrollment, employee changes, and billing verification. Review and update company safety manuals, procedures, and policies. Assist with workplace safety initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts. Support employee relations matters and general HR initiatives. Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, policies, procedures, and workplace expectations. Assist the HR Director and leadership team with additional HR and safety projects as needed. Qualifications Degree in human resources, occupational safety, business administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Previous experience in human resources, workplace safety, recruiting, or a related role. Knowledge of OSHA requirements and general workplace safety practices is preferred. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels of an organization. Why Apply?
