This role ensures consistent application of policies, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR documentation. The HR Specialist works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support a compliant, organized, and employee-focused work environment. Role and Responsibilities Administer end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring completion of all required documentation, compliance checks, and system updates Maintain accurate and audit-ready employee records, including personnel files, training documentation, and employment agreements Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and coordination with third-party vendors (e.g., health, dental, retirement plans, COBRA) Assist in employee relations matters by triaging concerns, documenting issues, and supporting resolution processes in alignment with company policy Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, EEOC, OSHA as applicable) Coordinate HR communications related to policy updates, organizational changes, and general workforce notifications Partner with leadership on recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, and interview scheduling Support performance management and annual review processes by coordinating documentation and timelines Assist with preparation and standardization of HR templates, including offer letters, agreements, and policy documentation Track and monitor required employee trainings and certifications to ensure timely completion Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism Lead initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive company culture by designing and managing employee recognition programs that celebrate achievements, reinforce organizational values, and enhance employee engagement

Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in a clinical research, healthcare, or medical environment (preferred but not required) Experience developing, implementing, or improving HR processes and workflows strongly preferred Familiarity with regulatory environments (e.g., HIPAA, clinical research compliance, or similar frameworks) Experience supporting multi-site or cross-state workforce operations Knowledge of onboarding/training compliance tracking systems HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
